Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about graphs and data for maths. In Te Ngahere we have recently been doing this maths for the last week. I learnt how to use graphs and collect data to add on to a table. I really enjoyed doing this because we were able to learn about graphs and how to use them which will be really helpful when we need them. I found it hard to create a graph because I kept on forgetting where to find the graph tab. I found it easy to collect the data because you just needed to push a control and the data was added to your table. Have you worked around graphs and data before?

Fun Lesson's About T-ball
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about our interesting T-ball practice we did on Wednesday the 28th of October. I really enjoyed it because we learned new things about T-ball. I learned how to stand in the right position while we are hitting the ball. I found it confusing because I kept running to the wrong spot when I was meant to run the other way. I found it easy to get the ball back to where the batter stands to hit the ball and I also found it really fun. Have you ever done T-ball practice before?

Amazing Art
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about our Mahi Toi we have recently been doing. We had to practice drawing curves, continuous lines and ruling straight lines on a template that the teacher had given us. Once we finished doing that we practiced our shading on the template that we had finished drawing on. After that the teacher gave us a template that was on an A4 piece of paper which was our good copy. After we finish our shading we need to go over all the lines with vivid to make that more bold and pop out of the paper more. Then we trimmed the border and glued it onto a piece of thick paper. I found it hard to shade

Weather Report
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about our weather report’s Te Ngahere has recently been doing for the last three weeks. We have been making weather reports in Te Reo Maori and being able to screencastify ourselves speaking in te reo maori. I really enjoyed doing this because it is fun and I am learning how to speak in maori. I found it hard to pronounce the te reo maori correctly. Next time we make weather reports I will make sure to learn the words so I can pronounce them correctly. Have you ever made your own weather report before?

Amazing Athletics Practise
Kia ora Bloggers, today I am blogging about the athletics practise Paihia School has recently been doing. I learned how to throw a shot put properly because Whaea Chrissy has been taking shot put practises for the past week. I really enjoyed doing athletics practise because it will be helpful for when we go to Bledisloe Domain to compete against other schools. Does your school do athletics practise before you compete against other schools?
Amazing Maths
Kia ora Bloggers, today I am blogging about the maths we have recently been doing this week. We have been doing Just Right Algorithms. Our W.A.L.T is to use mental strategies to solve problems with fractions, decimals, and proportions. I learned how to work out Just Right Algorithms questions. I really enjoyed doing this maths because we get an opportunity to learn about algorithms before we go to college and I found it hard to explain how we worked out the questions like 2087-543=1544 and why it is that. Have you ever done Just Right Algorithms?

Insanely Fun Eeling
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about my 2 weeks off school. As we were having 2 weeks off school I went to Jade’s house in Haruru falls, we were going to go to the Opua camper van camp to go catch some eel’s and some little fish. When Jade’s aunty picked me up we waited for about 4 hrs to go catch some eels and fish. I found it really hard to catch some eels and fish because they were slippery and fast so I wasn’t able to catch one, Jade was able to catch some eel’s and some fish but they kept getting away and then Jade ended up catching them again and that time they didn’t get away. Jades aunties friend caught the biggest one and they needed to use both of the spears to get it up onto the deck and to put it into the bucket then Jades aunty's had a turn then she caught some and then tried to catch the little one’s but it was too hard because they were to small and to fast. Next time we need to take some extra spears and a net so it makes it easier. Have you ever been eeling?

My Explanation
Mahi Toi
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about our art Te Ngahere has recently been doing for the past week. I learned how to draw continuous lines on a koru with design’s. Our teachers gave everyone a template with koru’s with koru designs for us to go over to practise. Our W.A.L.T was to draw continuous lines draw curves, rule straight lines, select colours for effect and blend Colours. I found it hard not to talk when others are talking around you and I found it hard to draw over the lines because the line’s were so light that I could barely see them. I enjoyed this subject because it was an amazing opportunity to learn how to draw continuous lines. Have you done this kind of art?

What I Learned From judgement calls
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about our maths. The maths we are doing is called (judgement calls). We needed: a classmate, a clock or watch that shows the seconds, string, a metre rule, cardboard, split pins, a set of kitchen scales and scissors. Judgement calls is a about measurement, we needed to measure things and also estimating how much some objects weigh on a kitchen scale. I learned how to use a kitchen scale and how to use a scale to weigh the objects. I found it hard to write the data down when the three of us were participating in the activities but we managed to write the data down, it was easy to work out the questions and it was also easy to make the trundle wheel which was for measuring things. Have you done this before?

Tok-Tiker's
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about movie making we have recently been doing in Te Ngahere. We learned how to use all sorts of different angle shots. My group and I found it hard to keep the camera still because we all took turns filming scenes. We had to make the films under 3 minutes long and we used Drama and music in our movie. Whatever we chose it had to be appropriate for school. I feel really confident making these filmes because I enjoy taking the time to act the scenes and I get to hang out with my friends. I can’t say there is something I don’t enjoy about it. Have you ever made a film before and did you have fun making it? These were the types of shots we used.

Kawa Of Care
Kia ora bloggers, today I am blogging about Kawa of care. Kawa of care is about caring for your Chromebook. I made a DLO for kawa of care. On the DLO is has rules for what to do and what not to do. I found it hard to do this because it was hard to find images that you are allowed to use off the internet. I really enjoyed doing this because I learned some things like always leave your Chromebook in the case so no liquids get into the Chromebook and so if you drop it in the case it won’t get damaged. Do you follow these rules around your chromebook?

Maths-Figure Me Out
Kia ora bloggers, today I’m blogging about maths. I learned how to find maths problems in a word problem and to turn them into a division and a multiplication question to solve them. We had to come up with strategies using the family of facts. I found it hard because we had to show how we figured it out. I enjoyed doing this because I got to learn new things. Have you done this before?
